Upholding Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy for Change: Call for MLK Programming
In preparation for honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, žžÀ² State’s Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee is requesting that university divisions, departments and student organizations submit programming, activities and events (scheduled Jan. 25-Jan. 31, 2021) to the MLK Events Calendar by Friday, Dec. 4, 2020.
žžÀ² State Recognized Again for Sustainability Efforts
Through multiple organizations and collaborations on and off campus, žžÀ² ended 2019 as a more sustainable campus. Those who contributed to sustainable efforts worked hard to reduce the university’s carbon footprint leading to the university being honored as a finalist for the 2020 Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Campus Sustainability Achievement Award along with the 2019 Keep Ohio Beautiful award for Colleges and Universities.

As part of žžÀ²â€™s ongoing strategy to help stop the spread of COVID-19, žžÀ² State has partnered with the city of žžÀ² to bring the Ohio Department of Health’s Pandemic Testing Team to campus from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 for an open testing event

In an effort to ensure student access and success, žžÀ² is waiving application fees for those who apply to the university in the month of November.

Campus Pride has released its 2020 Best of the Best LGBTQ-Friendly Colleges and Universities list, and for the first time in school history, žžÀ² has landed on the distinctive list as one of 40 institutions recognized over six U.S. regions.
žžÀ² State Named Finalist for Degree Completion Award
The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities has selected žžÀ² as one of four finalists for the association’s 2020 Degree Completion Award. The annual award works to identify, recognize and reward institutions that employ innovative approaches to improve degree completion while ensuring educational quality.
