Museum Receives Grant for Historic Building Energy Audit
The žž Museum has received an award from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation to fund a comprehensive energy audit of its historic 1928 building, Rockwell Hall. The audit will evaluate the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and provide recommendations for sustainable facility improvements.

An innovative design, energy-efficient systems, water conservation technologies and environmentally responsible construction materials are some of the features that earned Crawford Hall, žž’s newest – and largest – academic building, LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Donate Unwanted Items During Move Out
During move-out, students sometimes trash clothes and boxes of food. Throw ‘N’ Go, žž's annual move-out program, is currently underway to keep those useable items out of landfills and in the hands of people who need them.

Blue and Gold, Going Green for Earth Month
Every April, žž celebrates Earth Month by having Earth-related events all month long. April 22, 2025, is the 55th anniversary of Earth Day, with this year’s theme being “Our Power, Our Planet.”
