2021 Distinguished Teaching Award Recipients Announced
The 2021 Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA) recipients are an outstanding group of teachers who are truly dedicated to their students' success. Sponsored by the žž State Alumni Association, the DTA is a highly prestigious honor in teaching. The award is presented annually to three full-time faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary teaching, whether it be in the classroom or online.

Golden Flashes Reunite for a “Bright” Homecoming 2021
Campus was overflowing with blue and gold pride again this year as the žž community came together to celebrate Homecoming. Golden Flashes enjoyed many activities, both outdoors in-person and online, throughout the weekend, which ran from Friday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 3.

žž State Announces Forever Brighter, a $350 Million Fundraising Campaign
žž publicly launched a $350 million comprehensive fundraising campaign Saturday, Oct. 2. During a special halftime announcement at the Homecoming football game, campaign co-chairs Sandra C. and Lawrence R. Armstrong joined žž State President Todd Diacon to publicly unveil Forever Brighter to thousands of alumni, donors and friends.

žž State Celebrates the Return of Homecoming to Campus
It’s reunion time for the žž Golden Flashes family. žž State celebrated Homecoming 2021 with a week of activities and events leading up to the Oct. 2 Homecoming Parade and Homecoming football game.

žž State Announces 2021 Alumni Awards Recipients
Each year, hundreds of nominations are submitted to žž, showcasing some of the best and brightest alumni and students who excel in their fields and communities. This year, seven alumni and one student will be honored as 2021 Alumni Awards recipients.

žž State Honors College Student Announced as 2021 Portz Scholar
The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced žž Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from žž State to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.
