žž State's Student Accessibility Services is celebrating October as Disability Awareness Month, with events and activities to spread the word to students that they are not alone in their struggle and that help is available.
October is žž’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Though the national health observance is in May, the university chooses October to promote mental health awareness as the need for mental health support on campus peaks during this time.
It was a FAB-ulous time for tacos on Wednesday, Sept. 27, during the “Let’s Taco Bout Black Squirrel Festival” preview hosted by žž’s Flash Activities Board.
žž will host over 1,600 family members and their students to celebrate Parents and Families Appreciation Weekend. This Friday, Sept. 29, and Saturday, Sept. 30, families from more than 23 states and Ohio will enjoy various campus events and activities.

Vitalant will be holding a blood drive on the žž Campus on Wednesday, Sept. 20 and Thursday, Sept. 21.
The second Annual Mental Health Awareness Month at žž will have a unique campaign this fall.

Nationally, Sept. 15 marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year, žž State is celebrating the 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month as Avanzando Juntos: Moving Forward Together with numerous events and celebrations.
