CEPH Accreditation

The žž College of Public Health has received accreditation from the Board of Councilors of the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The fiveyear span is the maximum term the college could have achieved as a first-time applicant.  To earn the accreditation, the college met a set of rigorous quality standards in the areas of teaching, research, and service. The events will be held on žž State Stark’s beautiful, 200-acre campus, located at 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. The Kids’ Fun Run begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration takes place on the day of the event, beginning at 7:30 a.m. The fee is $5 per person and may be paid on the day of the event. žž football player Jordan Italiano, a senior safety from Canfield, Ohio, has been selected as a 2015 National Football Foundation National Scholar-Athlete and finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy presented by Fidelity Investments. Italiano is the first žž State player to earn the honor. Twelve finalists, including nine Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) players were chosen among a pool of 135 candidates. Serhiy Polyakov, Ph.D., joins the School of Library and Information Science as its post-doctoral research fellow and fills the first post-doctoral position for the College of Communication and Information. From replacing windows and roofs, to restoring stone facades, žž gave College Planning & Management magazine a tour of campus and all of its new construction and renovation projects. The Beta Nu Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma at žž at Salem received three awards during the recent GIS International Conference in Chicago. GIS is the international risk management, insurance and actuarial science collegiate fraternity. The žž Salem Campus is home to the university’s insurance studies degree program and its students formed the Beta Nu Chapter of GIS last year.
