For Maxwell Rees, portraying a teen on the autism spectrum in the Weathervane Playhouse production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" was more than just being in the spotlight; it was about shining a spotlight on autism and its effects on individuals, their families and the community.

Throughout the month of November, alumni, employees and friends of žžÀ² have the opportunity to make a tremendous impact on the lives of our students and on our university.

On Nov. 1, the university launched the 2018 Giving Tuesday campaign. Like last year, Giving Tuesday 2018 is a monthlong event, providing an expanded timeframe for giving, additional giving options and more occasions to have gifts matched.

The žžÀ² Alumni Association invites faculty and staff to nominate deserving alumni for the žžÀ² Alumni Awards.

The žžÀ² Opera Scenes annual fall production will feature a premier of an original opera produced by a student. The Opera Scenes production consists of two opera scenes and the one-act performed by students on Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. in the Wright-Curtis Theater in the Center for the Performing Arts. This year’s scenes are centered on the theme Marriage: Inside Out and depict telling moments in the lives of various marriages.

Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley has named žžÀ² at Trumbull its 2018 Volunteer Organization of the Year.
