On Sunday, Feb. 7, žžÀ² City Police responded to a report of a man who had been shot inside an off-campus apartment at 1632 E. Main St. in the city of žžÀ². Upon officers’ arrival, an 18-year-old žžÀ² student was found deceased. One suspect was apprehended with the assistance of Stow Police. If you have any information regarding the situation, please contact the City of žžÀ² Police Department at 330-673-7732. There was no imminent threat to žžÀ² Campus safety.
Counseling services and support are available to all students, staff and faculty members as we deal with our loss. We continue to keep safety as a top priority. As part of that priority, žžÀ² State Police are in close contact with the City of žžÀ² Police Department to ensure the safety of our žžÀ² Campus community. žžÀ² State Police patrol our campus 24 hours a day through vehicle, foot and bicycle patrol. There are more than 30 blue light phones stationed across campus in parking lots and along sidewalks that connect immediately with campus police.
