All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the žžÀ² group's trip to Rwanda.


Members of the žžÀ² State delegation attending , a global peace conference in Kigali, Rwanda, were treated to a soaring show by this mother with her baby from a group of local velvet monkeys. Velvet monkeys are common throughout East Africa and live in rural and urban environments.


The conference is sponsored by žžÀ² State’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, žžÀ² State’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in žžÀ² State’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, žžÀ² State’s Board of Trustees approved žžÀ² State opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for žžÀ² State’s recruitment throughout Africa.
