Carter Strang, BS ’73
Carter E. Strang received the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Living Legacy Award given for “extraordinary leadership, innovation, and professional excellence.” He is a Leader-in-Residence at Cleveland State University College of Law, a retired founding Tucker Ellis LLP partner, and past president of the CMBA, the CMBA Foundation, and the Federal Bar Association Northern District of Ohio Chapter.
Harry Fitch, BFA ’68
Under his pen name, Harry Ernest Fitch, he has published his third novel, “Desk Pilot,” through Amazon Publishing. Although it deals primarily with events while its protagonist serves in the Air Force during the ’60s, žž State plays a prominent role in the narrative of its first person narrator.

With recreational marijuana sales now underway in Ohio, žž officials are reminding the campus community that marijuana use remains prohibited on all university properties.Ohio voters approved Issue 2 on Nov. 7, 2023, legalizing the possession and use of limited amounts of marijuana in non-public places for individuals 21 and older. Metin Eren, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Anthropology and director of archaeology at žž, reached out to Brian Redmond, Ph.D., then curator at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and asked if he could join him for a dig.
