Trans Day of Remembrance at The Rock 2024

Michele Criss, assistant director for Fraternity and Sorority Life at žž’s Center for Student Involvement, was named a recipient of the 2024 Gayle Webb New Professional Award by the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA). This award recognizes emerging professionals in their first three years of fraternity and sorority advising who have made outstanding contributions and created impactful projects or initiatives. Multiple buildings on žž’s žž Campus were affected by a strong natural gas odor on Nov. 19, leading some employees and students to vacate their buildings temporarily.žž State Police said crews working in the area were completing a scheduled bleeding of gas lines, which caused the odor. Gas crews said winds blowing toward campus contributed to the strong smell on some parts of campus. “Bleeding gas lines” is the intentional release of trapped air from a gas line by opening a specific valve, allowing the gas to flow and push out the air.Crews completed their work arou...
