The Student Nurses’ Association at žž Trumbull is teaming up with Trumbull Memorial Hospital to teach new parents safe sleeping habits for their infants. The student nurses presented the hospital with more than a dozen "safe sleep sacks" to use on babies and model how to put them in cribs without blankets, bumpers and toys. Over the last year, žž State Trumbull and its nursing faculty have focused on ways they could promote sleep safety in an effort to reduce the region’s infant mortality rate (IMR). The School of Communication Studies (COMM) will offer a course called “Seminar: Vietnam: Messages from the Cultural Divide” during the Spring 2018 semester. COMM Associate Professor David Trebing, Ph.D., will teach the course for the third time, which will count as an upper division elective for communication students.
