Eric Harmon, žž at Tuscarawas student and councilman-at-large, is currently the youngest elected official in the state of Ohio.

žž at Tuscarawas student and councilman-at-large Eric Harmon, 19, is currently the youngest elected official in the state of Ohio and will be the youngest person ever to serve on Uhrichsville City Council when his term officially begins in January. Among the thousands of international students, two are particularly unique: Chynara and Eldona Ryskulova, respectively mother and daughter. This summer, journalism major Brandon Bounds, ‘19, will work alongside the nation’s top student journalists to report on hate speech across the nation through the prestigious News21 program.   The News21 program is part of an effort on the part of the John S. and James L. The žž family mourns the tragic loss of one of our students, senior Devin Moore. Devin was from Cleveland, Ohio, and was studying journalism in the College of Communication and Information. Devin is a graduate of Beachwood High School and was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., which named him a 2017 4th District Omega Psi Phi Man of the Year. žž Airport Donates More Than 10,000 Meals to Animal Shelters

The žž Airport collected almost 8,000 pounds of food, which translates into more than 10,000 meals for the dogs and cats at the local animal shelters.

Every holiday season, people give back to their communities in numerous ways. At the žž Airport, they give back through the Props-4-Paws initiative, a donation drive for the Humane Society of Summit County and the Animal Protective League of Portage County (APL). Dear Colleagues: Prior to the start of the current academic year, we shared a communication about ways the university is balancing its Fiscal Year 2018 budget, including several cost-saving strategies. žž at Salem participates in the holiday parade 2017

žž State’s Columbiana County campuses were well represented in the annual holiday parades in each of their respective communities. The žž State Salem Campus participated in the Salem parade on Nov. 30, represented by students, faculty, administration and Flash. The Undergraduate Student Council decorated the campus pickup in blue and gold, while campus representatives handed out treats and pencils to those watching from the curb.
