As the 50th anniversary of the May 4, 1970, shootings approaches, the work of developing a yearlong commemoration that honors the legacy of the past while setting a course for the future is in the hands of Rodney Flauhaus, žž’s new May 4 Commemoration project manager. The workshops will be held on Nov. 27, Dec. 5, Dec. 13 and Jan. 9. Students from the žž State East Liverpool physical therapist assistant program observed National PTA Month by raising funds that were donated to Ava’s Women Center in East Liverpool. The PTA students raised $500 through fundraisers, which will be used to help provide “Blessing Bags” to clients at the center.
