2015 Ohio Science Olympiad Workshop

žž State Ashtabula will be hosting their 4th annual Ohio Science Olympiad workshop for middle and high school students to practice for their events.  With our instructors and professors, participants study science topics relating to events in which they will compete at the regional, state and national level.  This year’s event also includes a keynote speaker, Dr. Tara C. Smith, from the College of Public Health at žž.  Her speech, titled “Ebola and Emerging Diseases: Why we’ll always have pandemics,” will begin at 11:00 AM.  The event begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 1:50 PM.  For more information, contact Gary Misich, Academic Lab Manager, at 440-964-4561 or gmisich@kent.edu.

Upskill at žž State Launches this Fall

žž’s Regional Campus System is launching a new series of workforce development programs designed to help local professionals strengthen the essential skills needed in today’s workplace. The program, titled “Upskill at žž State – Bringing Workforce Development to Your Community,” is part of a statewide initiative at all eight žž State locations across the Regional Campus System.

žž at Ashtabula has announced its Dean’s List and President’s List for the Spring 2025 semester.

President’s List criteria are a 4.00 grade point and at least 15 letter-graded (A, B, etc.) credit hours completed by the end of the semester. Requirements for the Dean’s List include a 3.40 grade point average or above for the semester and at least 12 letter-graded credit hours completed by the end of the semester.
